Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests

Last Updated:

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests are sensitive in nature and must be handled with accuracy and timeliness. This page provides guidance on the FOIA process.

See the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) FOIA request handling guidelines (SharePoint). Your PIV card is required for access.

To request access to this SharePoint page on Office of the CTO Place of Useful Stuff (OCTOPUS), please:

  1. Select this link to access SharePoint. Your PIV card is required for login.

  2. Request access using the access request form that pops up when you access the site for the first time.

    1. Requests for access should include the name of the team the requestor is on.

  3. While these first steps should be sufficient for gaining access, it’s recommended to also send a message in Slack to the managers of the site, alerting them to your SharePoint access request:

    1. Kasey Mathews - OCTO Comms Events Lead

    2. Michelle Correll - Communications Lead for OCTO

    3. Slack channel: #octopus-breakroom
