Step-by-step guide
If you would like to contribute new content to the Platform website, you can draft the content first – OR – If you don’t feel comfortable drafting something, just let us know the topic, and we will create the content for you.
Once you have your topic idea or a completed draft of your new content, send it to our team. To do this, choose one of the following:
Reach out to us in the #vfs-platform-support Slack channel.
Use this Documentation Support Request template.
If possible, please let us know where in the information architecture (IA) of the Platform Website you think your new content might fit best.
Our team will review this request and edit it as needed to ensure it meets our style guidelines. If the content is technical in nature, we will collaborate with members of the Platform’s technical teams to ensure the content is accurate.
Once the content is approved and edited by our team, we will get it ready for deployment. This means we will:
Move the content into Confluence.
Make sure the formatting is correct.
Check the page for launch blocking issues.
Move the document to its final home in the IA.
Deploy it according to our regular deployment schedule (Monday-Thursday, NLT 5 p.m. ET).
We will let you know as soon as the content goes live on the site.
Thank you for helping make the Platform website better. Please reach out to us anytime. We are here to help.
