This page is intended to guide VFS team members who need to review and update their product directory entry during the Collaboration Cycle.

Why is this important?

Keeping your product’s entry up-to-date allows Platform teams to better understand your product and the resources it uses. Additionally, it will help provide better insight for Collab Cycle touchpoints and reviews.

Open vs. restricted attributes

Products have two types of attributes: open and restricted. Each page indicates which attributes fall into which category.

Team members can make changes to both open attributes and restricted attributes in the product directory.

How to edit a product entry

Editing an open attribute

  1. Find the open attribute in the product entry you intend to change.

  2. Open this form in a new tab.

  3. Fill out the form. In the form, you only need to change the fields that need to be updated. You can leave blank any fields that were already correct.

  4. Press the Submit button.

  5. The QA Standards team will be notified of the change and will review the submitted changes and either approve or follow up with you for clarification.

Editing a restricted attribute

  1. Find the restricted attribute in the product entry you intend to change.

  2. Open this form in a new tab.

  3. Fill out the form with the requested field you'd like to change along with the details of what you'd like to change it to and any other relevant details we need to know.

  4. Press the Submit button.

  5. The QA Standards team will be notified of the request and will address the change manually or reach out with further inquiries.
